Funeral services for Jeanne Lytle, 85 of Lawrence, KS formally of Junction City will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Matthew Glasgow officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Danbury Cemetery in rural McCook, NE. Visitation will be at 5:30 pm until the time of service at the First Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road Topeka, KS 66604 and or to the First Presbyterian Church, 113 W. 5th Street Junction City, KS. 66441.

Jeanne Lytle was born February 10, 1926, in Leadville, CO to William and Elsie (Walsh) Meese.

Jeanne was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Junction City and attended the First Presbyterian Church in Lawrence, KS. Jeanne was active with the Geary Community Hospital Auxiliary and the Geary County Extension Club.

Jeanne married Meredith D. "Buck" Lytle January 11, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2007.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Lytle of Plano, TX and Roy Lytle of Eudora, KS. She is also survived by one brother Henry Meese of Rifle, CO and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Tom, one brother and one sister.
