Richard Lawrence Pleau, 59, passed away December 15, 2011, in Sacramento, California, after fighting a six-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Richard was born on April 13, 1952, in San Francisco, California, and moved to Davis, California, that same year. He graduated from Davis Senior High School and worked in the construction industry for most of his life.

After being diagnosed with cancer in 2006, Richard retired and was able to spend precious time with his family, take community college classes, and develop his artwork. His interests included writing poetry, gardening, making and appreciating art, listening to music, being Poppi to his grandchildren, and reading.

Richard was preceded in death by Colleen Laughlin and his son, Jason Pleau.

Richard was a kind, caring and loving man who was incredibly giving and generous. He will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
