Christ F. Ackermann, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ackermann, of Steger, died Sunday, Feb. 10, of pneumonia, at Fort Snelling, St. Paul, Minn., where he had served in the United States army for nearly two years. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the German Lutheran church under the direction of Steger Post, American Legion, No. 521. Rev. Clausen preached the service and burial was in Evergreen Hill cemetery. Ackermann was 21 years old.
Christ Acermann was born in Wells, Minn., and was 22 years of age. December 1, 1923, he was married to Miss Dorothy Morgan. He brought his bride to Steger when he had a month's furlough. He returned to Fort Snelling, while his bride remained here with his parents. Her visit to him about two weeks ago found him suffering in the hospital with pneumonia. His father was summoned, and Christ passed away soon after his father's arrival. Sympathy is extended to his sorrowing wife, parents, and other relatives.
