She married Jonathan Culler on May 7, 1876 in Syracuse, Kosciusko Co., Indiana.

In the 1900 census Frances and her family were living in Turkey Creek Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana. She was listed as a Widow, collecting her husbands Pension, who served in the Civil War, her age was 43 born May 1843 in Indiana, her children listed were: Thomas J. age 23 born March 1877 in Indiana, Harry age 21 born August 1878 in Indiana, Bessie age 20 born February 1880 in Indiana and May age 18 born March 1882 in Indiana. The census also stated she only had four children, which all four were still living at that time.

In the 1910 census, Elmira, and her two sons, were living in Syracuse Ward 3, Kosciusko County, Indiana. She was listed as, Elmira F. Culler, widow, age 52, born in Indiana, her sons, Thomas Culler, a Salesman in retail hardware, age 33, born in Indiana, and Harry, a laborer doing odd jobs, age 32, born in Indiana.

In the 1920 census, Elmira was living in Turkey Creek Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana. She was listed as, Elmira Culler, a widow, age 62, born in Indiana, also living with her was her son, Thomas Culler, a stock clerk for a cement mill, age 42 born in Indiana.

In the 1930 census, Elmira was living alone in Syracuse, Kosciusko County, Indiana. Her age was 72.

Her obituary that was in the Syracuse - Wawasee Journal, Syracuse, Indiana, Friday August 15, 1947.

Mrs. Frances Culler, 90, who had lived in Syracuse and vicinity her entire lifetime, died at 2:45 A.M. Friday at her home on Lake street. She had been ill since April due to complications. Her husband, Jonathan Culler, preceded her in death. Mrs Culler was a member of the Methodist Church. She was born near Syracuse, May 21, 1857, the daughter of Samuel and Miranda Aker.
Surviving relatives are her daughter, Mrs Bessie Heerman, with whom she resided, and a son Harry Culler; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the Carr Funeral Home with the Rev. C. M. Fawns officiating. Burial was made in Syracuse Cemetery.
NOTE-- Her family last name has been found spelled Akers with a " S " also.
