They began a family and were blessed with three children. While raising her children she was involved in family and community service including, being a 4-H leader, cut scouts and blue birds. After her children were raised she became an Enumerator for the USDA. Betty was a cancer survivor and enjoyed volunteering for the cancers shop in Chico. She had many hobbies including cake decorating, porcelain dolls, miniatures, quilting and gardening. Betty passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 at a local hospital.
Betty is survived by three children; a son Lowell (Becky) Moural of Chico; two daughters, Vicki (Clayton) Oilar of Eagleville and Jeanice (Robert) Eshbaugh of Nampa, Idaho; a sister, Virginia Ullrey; 12 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Glen Oaks Memorial Park.
Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
