NEW ALBANY - Edith Christine Ashby Roberts, 75, died Monday, March 14, 2005, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. She was born March 5, 1930, in New Albany to the late Sanford Ashby and Fannie Thomas Ashby. She was a retired employee of Futorian Manufacturing. She was a member of the Keownville Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Bishop, the Rev. Chris McCord and the Rev. O'Neal Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Snyder Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Henry, Cynthia Reed and husband, James, and Beverly Clifton and husband, Timmy, all of New Albany; seven sons, Larry Roberts and wife, Janice, Elton Roberts and wife, Patty, Danny Roberts and wife, Kathy, James Ray Roberts and wife, Rosie, all of New Albany, Sandy Roberts and wife, Karen, of Booneville, Bradley Roberts and wife, Lynn, of Myrtle, and Benson Brown and wife, Earline, of Pearl; 25 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Frances Ashby; one granddaughter, Christy Nichols; one son-in-law, Jimmy Henry.
