Mrs J.L. Jarrell Called by Death
Mrs Mattie M Jarrell, wife of JL Jarrell, died late Thursday night at her home on North Elizabeth Street here. She was 71 years of age. Although she had been in declining health for the past six months, her death came unexpectedly. It was attributed to a heart attack and she passed away about 11 pm. She was born and reared in Hall County, GA and was the daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Mace Wilkey, of Hall County.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Second Baptist Church. Rev CB Bullard, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery with Haisten Brothers, funeral directors, in charge.
Surviving Mrs Jarrell, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Mrs Nettie Gasaway of Fayette County and Mrs Pearl Plumer of Muskegon, Mich, and two sisters, Mrs Mamie Everett of Junction, W.Va. and Mrs Etta Tillery of Porterdale.
