BANNISTER Mary Elizabeth Bannister, 24, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011. She was born February 11, 1987, in Lancaster, South Carolina, the daughter of Robin L. Bannister Sims (Joey Childress) and Timothy Sims. She is survived in death by her fiance, Gelal Quashsho; her parents as well as siblings, Krystle L. Sims (Jason), Timothy D. Sims Jr. (Brandy), Shellby L. Sims (Chris) and Joe, Justin and Dillon Childress; nieces and nephews, Raymond Sims, Katie Dilley, Allison and Ethan Sims, Emmah Froseth and Caleb, Clara, Dana and Dillon Childress; and host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held Monday, December 5, 2011 at Gilmer's Funeral Home on Ziegler Boulevard in Mobile. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. with services immediately after. Interment will follow at Fairhope Cemetery on County Road 17 in Chatom.

Elizabeth's maternal grandmother, Mary Parahlee Odom Dossett Bannister Usher is also buried in this same cemetery [Memorial # 29496795]. Her Maternal Great-Grandparents are also buried here They are Otis Odom [Memorial # 29495506] and Nellie Jordan Pulley Odom [Memorial # 29496835]. Other relatives are also buried in Fairhope Cemetery.
