Marlene L Adams, 76, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2009 at her home. Marlene was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert J Adams in 1993 and Wilfred A. Abendschein in 1982. She was also predeceased by her parents Margaret and Clifford Adkins, two brothers Paul and Thomas Adkins. She leaves to mourn her daughter Mary Kay Spinda (John), two granddaughters Lauren Spinda and Nikki Tidmore (Chris), one great-grandson William Tidmore and many friends.
She retired from Baptist Medical Center Beaches in 1997. She worked for Publix Sawgrass as a food demonstrator, a job she dearly loved. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday September 26 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, with Reverend Daniel DePascale officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
