Mrs Lovena Ellen Kirkpatrick, wife of Dr George W Kirkpatrick, died yesterday morning at her home at 1405 South street, after a two years’ illness. She had been confined to her bed for the past several months. Her maiden name was Lovena Allen DeHart and she was born in this county in 1847. For the past twenty-two years she had been a resident of this city. She was married to Dr George W Kirkpatrick in 1866. She was a member of the Christian church and was a woman of noble character. She leaves two sons, James N and Milo D., of this city, and one brother, S. O. DeHart, of this county. The funeral will be conducted from the residence on Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev A W Jackman, of Attica, will officiate and the interment will be made in the Wildcat cemetery. The services at the house will be public, but the burial will be private.
