From the Crawfordsville Journal-Review, Saturday, July 17, 1948:

William W. ALBERTSON, 75, died at his home North Green Street, Friday night at 9:40 o'clock after a 3 months' illness. Born Jan 24, 1873 at Yountsville, he was the son of A.T. & Lottie Burke Albertson. He married Nettie Dale in Darlington Sept 16, 1895. He later married Rosetta Campbell May 2, 1944 at Crawfordsville. He was a member of the Darlington Methodist Church and worked for the Interurban Traction Co. for 16 years. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Doris Dean Charters of Darlington and two sons, Don Dale Alberton of Pueblo, Colorado and Lawrence C. Alberton, Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 from the residence of Mrs. Charters in Darlington. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Proffit & Sons Funeral Home until Sunday morning when the body will be taken to the Charters home in Darlington.
