Mr. Grover Haze Andrews, age 94, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 at Navarro Regional Hospital. He was born April 29, 1917 in Montfort, Texas to Abe Lafayette and Margaret Ellen Brown Andrews.

He attended Buffalo Elementary and graduated from Corsicana High School in 1938. He married Ann Sloan on Dec. 23, 1939. In a few weeks they would have been married 72 years.

Mr. Andrews was a machinist at Hydril in Houston during World War II and continued at Bethlehem Steel until it closed. He became a rancher full time at the age of 38 and continued until his passing.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that loved his family and told them often.

He was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers, and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife Ann Andrews; a son, Nicky Andrews and wife Carolyn; three daughters, Sandra Marr and husband Herman, Janie Lane, and Cathy Ogburn and husband Ronnie; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at Corley Funeral Home.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Teel and Rev. Russell Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Claude Lane, Jr., Lance Andrews, Chris Lane, Ronnie Dale Ogburn, Russell Ogburn, Terry Wilson, Scott Noonkester and Darrell Tidwell.
