She was born March 26, 1946, to John and Ida (Paavola) Jacobson in Cook. She had been an active and beloved resident of the Cook Nursing Home since 1968. She was well-known for her enthusiasm for all activities, particularly music, dancing and bingo. She was also an avid Orr Braves sports fan. She enjoyed the many visitors she had and keeping in touch with her family. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her brother, Marvin (Jean Swope) Jacobson, of Clermont, Fla.; sister, Shirley Bixby, of Cook; 11 nieces, six nephews, 14 great-nieces, 14 great-nephews, four great-great-nieces and three great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John in 1981 and Ida in 1984; two brothers, Sulo in 1986 and Melvin in 1999; two sisters, Aili Saarikoski in 1982 and Darlene Ritter in 1996; and niece, Judy Saarikoski, in 1972.
Burial will be in Willow Valley Cemetery in Gheen.
