Born November 3, 1917, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Urban F. and Cora E. (Becker) Staub.
Loretta was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Sacred Heart Club. Loretta attended Central Catholic High School in McSherrystown. She was a volunteer at Hanover Hall Nursing Center and an auxiliary member of the former Conewago Fire Company currently SAVES.
Surviving are three children, John H. Livelsberger and wife, Mary Ellen of Thomasville, Eugene W. Livelsberger and wife, Elizabeth of Edgegrove, and Loretta Ann Livelsberger of Edgegrove; three grandchildren, Jennifer Leese, Ben Livelsberger, and Mark Livelsberger; two stepgrandchildren, Julie Zumbrum and Duke Staub; four great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and four brothers, William Staub of Hanover, and Urban Staub and Mark Staub, both of McSherrystown, and John Staub of Fairview Heights, IL.
She was preceded in death by six siblings: Robert, Joseph, and James "Spook" Staub, Beatrice Neiderer, Mary Topper, and Doris Leonard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. November 25, 2011, at Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, with the Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Edgegrove.
