Ruthe Mae Abel Andrews, 91, of Filer, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011.
She was born March 3, 1920, in Pryor Creek, Okla., to Elmer Roy Montgomery and Edna Florence Littrell. She married Lyle C. Abel on May 28, 1939, and celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 28, 1989, just shortly before Lyle's passing on Nov. 18 of that year.
Ruthe and Lyle lived and farmed in Filer, Idaho, where she loved growing and caring for flowers. She was an active member of the Filer First Baptist Church and was the charter member of the Mary Time Club, a neighborhood club in Filer. Ruthe married Everett Andrews on Nov. 14, 2009.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Kistler and Sandra Fischer, both of Twin Falls; four grandchildren, Kim, Krista, Karole and Michael; and five great-grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Kelsie, Kayden and Ty.
She is also survived by a sister, Louise; and a brother, Earle. Ruthe was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; her parents; and a brother, Hugh.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at the Filer Cemetery, with Pastor Andy Paz officiating. Services are under the direction of White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park."
