Ms. Barnhardt was born in Gibsonville, NC and later moved with her family to Greensboro. She was a 1971 Page High School Graduate. She was a member of the band and a majorette. Rebekah was a licensed cosmetologist and worked as a hair stylist for many years. She was recently employed with Express Lines in Wilson.
She was a member of New Beginning Free Will Baptist Church and used her musical talent to praise God for his many blessings. She loved her dogs, Happy, Sasha, and Gizmo.
Surviving are her husband, Robert "Bobby" William Barnhardt; two sons, Jay Brown (Alisha), and Timothy Brown ( Dana Pow) all of Charlotte; a grandson, Aidan Brown; two step children, David and Lindsey Barnhardt; two brothers, John Rosson, Jr. (Dawn) of Surf City , and G. Asa Rosson (Shirley) of Greensboro; maternal aunts, Ruth Ellen Yow Whitt of Greensboro and Maude Yow of St. Petersburg, Fla. She leaves behind many cousins and "best friend" Myra Parker of Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Rosson, Sr. and her mother, Annie Douglas Yow Rosson.
