Ralph Andrews
__Ralph Andrews, 77, of 914 Seventh street SW, a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, died at his home Saturday morning.
__He was born in Cedar Rapids March 3, 1896. Mr. Andrews was married to Nellie Brockman in Cedar Rapids on Oct. 4, 1919. His wife died in 1929.
__He was employed by Quaker Oats for 37 years until his retirement, and served with the army in World war I. He was a member of Salem United Methodist church, Hanford Post Five of the American Legion, Quaker Retirees club, Pautz Fellowship club and the Jolly 60s club.
__Surviving are a son, Robert K. Andrews, Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Loudeam) Reeves, Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Jakubec, Cedar Rapids, and one grandson.
__Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Beatty Beurle funeral home, by the Rev. Paul Pfaltzgraff. Burial: Linwood cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after noon Monday. The casket will not be opened at any time.
__Friends may if they wish, contribute to a memorial of their choice.
