Doris Herrion Gallihugh, 65, of Barboursville, died on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at her residence.

She was born on January 22, 1946, in Orange County, daughter of the late Henry Howard Herrion and Dorothy Rogers Herrion. She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Ralph Gallihugh.

Doris was a former employee of Frank IX and Sons in Charlottesville and Teleservice in Orange. She was a member of Blue Run Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and a member of WMU.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas M. Gallihugh Jr. of Barboursville; a son, Kevin Wade Gallihugh and his wife, Kim, all of Barboursville; two brothers, Jessie Herrion and wife, Elsie, of Barboursville, and Ronnie Herrion of Blue Ridge Shores; three sisters, Jean Thacker of Orange, Joyce Cook and husband, David, Bonnie Dibble and husband, Jay, all of Gordonsville; a life long friend, Mack Shifflett of Barboursville; four very special children in her life, Austin, Taylor, Cameron and Kelsi; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville with interment at Maplewood Cemetery. Pastor Bill Horton and the Reverend John Shifflett will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA, 22911.
