Corene was born December 8, 1925, in Lexington, Oklahoma to Jeffie Lee and Mary Estes Sullivan. She graduated from high school in Norman, Oklahoma and worked as a telephone operator for several years. On June 1, 1946, in Norman, she married John C. DeBolt. They have made their home in Lamar, Missouri since 1974, moving here from Lockwood, Missouri. In addition to being a homemaker, Corene had worked at the Lamar Daycare retiring in 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lamar.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, John Clayton DeBolt, of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Clayton DeBolt, Southhaven, Mississippi, And John Kristopher DeBolt, North Richland Hills, Texas; two daughters, Linda Kay (Karl) Ubrig, Berlin, Germany and Cynthia (Bennie) Shelton, Forsyth, Missouri; two sisters, Mildred H. Carson, Mountain Home, Arkansas and Geraldine Ervin, Elizabeth, Louisiana; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Sullivan, and two sisters, Francis Wilson and Marjorie Jackson.
