Fannie Roderick was born in Grafton, WV, on September 18, 1898, a daughter of the late Lemuel Dillon and Sydnie Locke Dillon Harvey.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Ruth Powell of Bridgeport, WV, and Mildred Filius, of Fairmont, WV. She is also survived by a brother, Charles Dillon, of Pruntytown, WV, and a sister, Bessie Held, of Grafton. She has three grandchildren, who all called her 'Mamaw', and one great-grandson as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of Diamond Street United Methodist Church, the McElfresh Sunday School Class, the Zinn-Bunner Circle 4, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Pythian Sisters, Mt. City Temple 5.

She was tragically killed in an automobile accident on the evening of Friday, March 30, 1973.
