The remains of Charlie Walter Price, World War 2 Veteran who died in action in Germany, July 12 1944, arrived here at 10am this morning. He was 23 years old and was born in Jefferson County. He Had served in the armed forces for 2
years.
Charlie was the son of Charlie Robert Price and Zona Jones Price. They were natives of Johnson County. Survivors are his parents, two sisters, Mrs Sarah Haley of Swainsboro and Mre Luella Martin of Metter. Seven brothrs, Leroy
Price of Dublin, Wiley Price of Rossville, Eugene Price of Garfield, Vestus Price of Swainsboro, E.A. Price of Savannah, Frank Price of Lake City, Florida, and Cecil Price of Swainsboro.He was a member of Bithynia Primitve Baptist Church where funeral services
will be held at 3pm Sunday with Elder. S.M. Claxton officiating, assisted by Elder Rollier Riner.
Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be L. Dukes Jr., Beauford Cox, Dewitt Cullars, Fred Price, Roger Pollett, and Donald Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be selected
from th V.F.W. and American Legion.
Remains will lie in state at the residence until time for the funeral.
Swainsboro Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
