Mary Etta Burnett, 95, of Burlington died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Blair House Nursing and Rehab Center in Burlington.

Born Feb. 19, 1913, in Stockport, she was the daughter of Sylvanus Scott and Mary Etta Turner Watson. On May 21, 1932, she married Floyd O. "Bob" Burnett in Kahoka, Mo. He died Feb. 17, 2000.

Mrs. Burnett worked as a clerk for National Research for 16 years, retiring in 1975.

She was a graduate of Stockport High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Burnett of Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren; seven grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one sister, five brothers and one great-great grandchild.

A family memorial graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Cemetery in West Burlington.

A memorial has been established.
