Murder Victim. Colleen went missing in March, 1984, after she skipped school to go to the beach. Three weeks later a fisherman discovered a body in a shallow grave in Orange County, Florida. The body had previously been ruled out as that of Colleen's because the former medical examiner could not find evidence of a healed fracture from when Colleen had broken her arm a couple of years prior to her disappearance. Colleen's remains were finally identified in March, 2011, through a DNA match with her sister 27 years after she went missing and 22 years after her mother's death. Christopher Wilder, a serial killer who committed suicide in April, 1984, when he was approached by 2 police officers, is suspected to be her murderer.
