Marion M. Byrd, 85, of Lynn, IN passed away Saturday afternoon, October 22, 2011 at St. Vincent's Randolph Hospital of Winchester, IN. She was born January 14, 1926 in Leslie County, KY the daughter of Beldon G. and Maultie (Langdon) Asher.
Marion, a homemaker, had also worked at Adam H. Bartel Co. of Richmond, IN.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Ronald Byrd (wife, Jeanie) of Lynn and Wayne Denney (wife, Judith) of Walton, KY; three brothers, Raymond Asher (wife, Mary Ruth) of Broadhead, KY, Waldo Asher (wife, Faye) of Lexington, KY and Junior Asher (wife, Helen) of New Salisbury, IN; a sister, Norma Floyd of Broadhead, KY; four grandchildren, Anna Maria (Denney) McIntosh (husband, Lenny), Robert Wayne Denney, Angela m. Rector (husband, Chris) and Shanna C. Wandersee (husband, Andy); two great grandsons, Alex and Noah Wandersee; many nieces and newphews; and a special friend and caregiver, Charlotte Byrd. She was preceded in death by her parents; a loving husband, Frank M. Byrd (1993); two children, Tina Maria Byrd and Infant son; a brother; and four sisters.
A service to celebrate Marion's life will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN. Burial will follow in New Liberty Cemetery of rural Lynn. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 12 noon to service time on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
