Lyons - Funeral for S. J. Avery 74 Lyons, who died here at 12:45 a.m. Monday, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Crawford-Miller chapel here. Rev. L. O. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Lyons cemetery.
Mr Avery, a resident of Lyons for 56 years, was born in Hawley Pa., Jan. 29, 1874. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Methodist church and Modern Woodmen.
Survivors are his widow, Grace; three daughters, Jenny, Elizabeth and Alice Avery, all of Lyons; a son, Sam Avery, Burlington; and a brother, Charles Avery, Lyons.
