George's father was James C. Hamilton and mother was Ruth Corwin-Hamilton. George's home in Tippecanoe, Indiana was burned to the ground several years after his father died in 1868. Ruth and her family moved to Iowa. George lived with his brother Abraham Oscar Hamilton from about 1880 up to 1900. I believe George was married once but divorced soon afterward. Living in Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas then back to Iowa. While living in Iowa with his sister Rebecca Hamilton-Dillinger and her relatives, medical history shows he suffered over the last 14 years of Epileptic fits which seemed to get worse. This ailment is readily treatable today, but unfortunately in the early 1900's George was admitted to the Cherokee Mental Hospital labeled with " Cause of Insanity: Epileptic Mania."

Siblings:
John W., Nancy Ann, Mary Jane, Rebecca Jane, Charles A., Abraham Oscar, Josephine and James Albert
