The second wife of Leander Woodbury, they wed on July 16,1868 in New Hampshire and had three children, Laurietta, Josephine and Florentine. Her parents, John Wayne and Martha Kimball Wayne were both born in England, according to 1880 census.

Emma was born in Canada, either in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia, before her parents moved to Massachusetts.
Emma is my husband's great-grandmother.

Mrs. L.S. Woodbury Dies at Ann Arbor, May 21; Buried at Nashua, N.H. Mrs. Emma Woodbury, widow of L.S. Woodbury, founder of the Great Falls Iron Works, died at Ann Arbor, Mich., on Friday evening, May 21, after an illness of more than two months. She was in her 77th year.

Mrs. Woodbury formerly and for a long time resided in Great Falls but at the time of her death she was living at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.S. Blauvelt at Ann Arbor.

Her husband died about two years ago. She is survived by three daughters, Miss M. Cerula Woodbury, of Great Falls; Mrs. A.I. Jones of Rochester, N.Y.; and Mrs. Blauvelt.

She also leaves one sister and one brother living in
Acton, Mass., and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Woodbury was born in Acton, Mass., on May 8, 1843. Her body was carried to Nashua, N.H., to be buried beside that of her husband. The funeral was held at Ann Arbor last Sunday, May 23.
