Our kind and gentle father, grandpa, brother and uncle, Gordon Lynn Brady was surrounded by his loving family when he left this earth peacefully on October 22, 2011.

He was born the first of six children in Union, Utah on November 22, 1933 to Mervin Lindsay and Marjorie Cox Brady.

He grew up in Eureka and graduated from Jordan High School.

Dad served his country proudly in the Navy during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mervin Lindsay Brady and Marjorie Cox Brady, his brother Kim Brady, son Darin Brady and grandsons Anthony Brady and Jacob Vanover.

Gordon is survived by his cat "Spartacus", many wild mustangs, stray cats/dogs, a goose named "Jake", a rooster named "Cogburn", a desert lizard and many ducks, his siblings; Marilyn (John) Elkins, Jerry (Betty) Brady, Jim (Wanda) Brady and Rick (Karen) Brady and his children; Scott (Sheri) Brady, Kip (Michelle) Street, Brett (Christine) Brady, Crissi (Bruce) Maycock, Shaun Brady, Lisa Brady, Jamie (Darryl) Jones, Ryan (Diana) Brady, Janie (Bup) Minardi, Stormi Brady, Cindy (Zane) Morris and Destry Brady all of which he loved dearly.

He was blessed with 32 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Dad loved riding and training horses, hunting, fishing, watching the wild horses run and going to coffee with the "boys". He was an easy-going man who appreciated the beauty of nature all around him. He was a true animal lover and activist! In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.ReinFree.org.

God saw you getting tired; a cure was not to be. He wrapped you in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me'. You suffered much in silence; your spirit did not bend. You faced your pain with courage, until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us but your fight was not in vain, God took you to His loving home and freed you from the pain.

Gordon Lynn Brady, November 22, 1933 to October 22, 2011 a beautiful seventy-seven years of life.

A military graveside service will be held, at 9:00 am on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd in Riverton.

A celebration of life will follow the graveside service at Salt Lake County Equestrian Center 2100 West 11400 South, South Jordan from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.
