Funeral services for Martha Ann Moore Amos 68, of Farmerville, LA will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA. Burial will be in Start Cemetery, Start, LA.

Martha Ann Moore Amos was born December 1, 1941 in Start and passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010 in Farmerville, LA after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Amos was a member of Siloam Spring Baptist Church in Weston, LA. Martha was a retired beautician, she loved ceramics, knitting, flowers, fishing, and sewing; her favorite thing was NASCAR. She was preceded in death by parents, Horce and Roberta Moore, son, Walter Chriceol; special friends, Laura Buttman and James Amos.

Survivors include her daughters, Sherri Griffith and husband, Michael of Elm Grove, LA and Michelle Skains and husband, Rusty of Farmerville, LA; grandchildren, Craig Allen of Shreveport, Kristina Luck of Shreveport, Michael Allen of Bossier City, LA, and Billy Skains of Farmerville, LA; great grandchildren, Raven Luck and Alexandra Luck of Shreveport; sisters, Mary Russell of Start, Barbara McCormick of Start, Gloria Stanley of Start, Irene Jones of Rayville; brothers, George Moore of Monroe, Carl Moore of Start, and Dennis Moore of Start; stepchildren, Karen Daniel and husband, John of MS, Jim Amos and wife, Angel of Houston, TX, and Robert Amos of Houston, TX; step grandchildren, Sara and J.D. Daniel, Chris and Cameron Amos, Michael and Shelby Amos; special friends, Mary Alice Springfield, Joyce Rineheart, Sydney Walker; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to all her friends at Arbor Lake Nursing Home and Agape Hospice.

Pallbearers will be Mike Griffith, Rusty Skains, Craig Allen, Michael Allen, Greg Moore, and John Daniel.

Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers, George, Carl, and Dennis Moore.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
