Services for Norma Youngblood, 95, of Lufkin, were held October 7, 2016 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to be in the Huntington Cemetery in Huntington, TX.
Mrs. Youngblood was born June 14, 1921 in Angelina County to the late Georgia (Bethard) and Phillip Turner Sharp, "TC", Sharp, Sr. She passed away at her Lufkin residence on October 5, 2016.
Mrs. Youngblood was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved her church family. Mrs. Youngblood retired as a cashier at Safeway Grocery.
Survivors include granddaughter, Monica and John McCoy; great-grandchildren, Chase and Alyssa McCoy; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Youngblood; children, Dale Youngblood and Arlene Martin; 3 brothers and two sisters.
