Marvin "Marv" Wesley Anderson died August 22, 2011, at the age of 89. He was born April 26, 1922, in Astoria, Oregon to Charles & Louise (Christensen) Anderson.
Marv was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army and the Navy. After being honorably discharged from both branches of the service he went to work for the Army Intelligence at the Pentagon.
He graduated from Oregon State University, University of Oregon and Pacific University. He earned 2 Master's degrees, one in Education and the other in English.
Marv taught all grades in the Los Angeles School District for 20 years. He was the principal at Jewell Grade School and also the principal at Pilot Butte Junior High School both in Bend, Oregon.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Chamberlain; sons, Steven Anderson, Michael Anderson and Gary Chamberlain; 7 grandchildren; Ashley, Alexa, Abby, Emma, Sophie, Danika, and Aedan.
A private family graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery.
