Noreen was the only daughter and third child of Percy Franklin Hanes and his wife, Lulu Mabel Pope. Noreen married Joe Milford Sorensen; youngest of eight children born to Soren A. E. Sorensen and his wife, Anna J. Christensen. Noreen and Joe celebrated their nuptials on August 31, 1946 in Downers Grove (DuPage County), Illinois. They had 5 children; three sons and two daughters. Noreen worked as a cashier for Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois for many years. After Joe passed away in May of 1967, Noreen married a widower, Kenneth Charles Levey on July 3, 1971. Ken passed away in 1991.
