Longtime Taft resident Edson G. Archibald, 83, died in San Joaquin Valley Hospital on Monday night, August 18, 1979. He was born January 11, 1896 and came here in 1918 from Nova Scotia, Canada.
He was superintendent of Tannehill Oil Company for 31 years before retiring.
Survivors include one son, three grandchildren, one great granddaughter, one brother.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the West Side Mausoleum with entombment to follow. The Minister of the First United Methodist Church will officiate the services.
