Elias Landreth, 84, of Altmont, died at 8:30 am in Oswego Hopsital. He had been in failing health since suffering a heart attack in 1956 and had been in the hospital since last Friday.
Landreth was born Sept. 16, 1896 at Hattick, Illinois. He was married March 14, 1923, at Altamont to Mable Dennison, who survives.
He farmed until 1941 when he and his wife became aides at Osawotamie Hospital. Later they worked at Larned Hospital. They returned to Altamont after his attack. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Altamont. Burial will be in Altamont Cemetery.
