James Wesley Bailey

James Wesley "Jack" Bailey, 68, of Roff, died Thursday, May 4, 1995 at the Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 1995 at the First Baptist Church, Gould, with the Rev. Mike Finley officiated and the Rev. Doug Turney assisted. Burial was in the Dryden Cemetery under the direction of Carter Stewart Funeral Service of Hollis.

Bailey was born May 4, 1933 in Loco, Texas to Cecil and Pearl Goodson Bailey. He was baptized in 1947 in Arlie. He attended school at Westview and Dodson. On April 1, 1955, he married Dollie Dolores Weightman in Wellington. They moved to Gould in 1966.

Bailey was a farmer and rancher in Texas and Oklahoma all of his life. He went to work for Harmon County in 1969 and retired in 1991 and moved to Roff, where he lived until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Bailey in 1967 and Pearl Bailey in 1948; one brother, Elbert Roy Bailey in 1966 and one sister, Erma Lee Nelson in 1991.

Survivors include his wife, Dollie, of the home in Roff; two daughters and their husbands, Irene and Thad Crosnoe, Altus and Julene and Eddie Stegall, Hollis; five grandchildren, Brandi and Leah Crosnoe, Altus; Amy, Kyle and Lee Stegall, Hollis; two sisters, Pattie and her husband, E. L. Creech and Ernestine Hussain, all of Amarillo.
