Funeral to be Held Wednesday Afternoon

Grief Over Killing Of Grandson Breaks Health
Funeral services for Mrs. Myron T. Herrick will be held Wednesday afternoon at the family residence, Overlook Rd, Cleveland Heights. Mrs. Herrick, wife of the former Ambassador to France and former Governor of Ohio, died Sunday afternoon at Bar Harbor, Maine. Her brother, Benjamin Parmely Jr. received a telegram Monday from Colonel Herrick saying Mrs. Herrick's body would arrive in Cleveland on Monday morning.
Services at Home
Services at the home and at the Wade Memorial Chapel will be open to friends. Mrs. Herrick's health was impaired after the trying experiences she shared with her husband in Europe at the outbreak of the war. Grief over the death of her grandson, Myron T. Herrick II, killed by an automobile, also weighed heavily upon her. Friends say this hastened her death. Her husband and her only son Parmely W. Herrick were at her bedside when death came.
Aided Husband
Mrs. Herrick was her husbands chief aid in relieving stranded Americans in Paris at the outbreak of the war. Mrs. Herrick was conspicuous in the social and civic life of Cleveland. She was a member of the YWCA, the Women's City Club, and the Fortnightly Medical Club. Mrs. Herrick, whose maiden name was Miss Caroline Parmely was married in 1880. While in France, Mrs. Herrick assisted in the translation of numerous French works on banking into English."

"They will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, at the family residence, Overlook Rd. Cleveland Heights. Rt. Rev. W.A. Leonard, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio, and Dr. A.B. Meldrum, pastor of the Old Stone Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery and will be private."
