Zanesville Times Recorder, 23 Feb 1963. William J. Denning, 61, of Portland, Ore., former Zanesville resident, died Wednesday at Providence Hospital, Portland. A native of this city, he formerly resided on Turner street and was employed by the Zanesville Provision Co. He had resided in Oregon for 8 years. His wife, the former Louise McKnaughton, preceded him in death March 20, 1955. He was a son of John and Anna Flannigan Denning. Surviving are two sons, Joseph of Nashport Route 1 and John of 1023 Moxahala avenue; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Crouch of Hammond, Ind., Mrs. Bertha Bennett, 225 Van Buren street and Mrs. Marilyn McCarty of 138 Brighton boulevard; 11 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be brought to the Putnam Chapel of Bolin - Bryan Funeral Home. ---------------Zanesville Times Recorder, 27 Feb 1963. Services for William J. Denning, 61, of Portland, Ore., former Zanesville resident, will be held at 1pm Thursday at Putnam Chapel of Bolin - Bryan Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl McClellan of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4pm today. Mr. Denning died Feb. 20 in Providence Hospital, Portland.

Mr. Denning, a former Zanesville resident, died Feb. 20 in Portland, Ore.
