Mary Jo (Coffey) Allcorn
Services for Mary Jo Coffey Allcorn, 76, of Brownwood will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stan Allcorn and the Rev. Lloyd Hagemeier officiatting. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, in the Heartstone Nursing Facility in Round Rock.
Mrs. Allcorn was born May 7, 1922, in Zephyr. She was a retired public school teacher and taught school for 28 years; she taught at Brownwood Junior High. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the Women's Missionary Union, Delta Kappa Gamma, the Brown County Retired Teacher's Association, TSTA, NEA and CTA. in 1941, she marrried George Allcorn in Brownwood, who later died in 1992.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Trietsch of Round Rock; son, Billy Jack Allcorn of San Antonio; three grandchilldren, Phil Trietsch of Austin, Matt Trietsch of Austin and Shane Keeling of Houston; sisters and a brother, Mrs. Allaray Lyons of San Antonio, Mr. Toss Coffey of Zephyr, Mrs. Adelene Neislar of San Antonio; sister and a brother-in-law, Bonnye Bess and Tom Priddy of Austin; two sisters-in-law, Augusta Allcorn of Brady and Cleo Coffey of Brownwood; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church and Zephyr United Methodist Church or to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
Family visitation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
