HAROLD BANDELIER, JR., 92, of Lake Alfred, Fla., formerly of New Haven, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 in Lake Alfred, Fla. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Harold and Ethel Bandelier, Sr. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. The WWII Army Air Corp veteran, was a member of Howard W. Bandelier V.F.W. Post 2457. He worked as a Carpenter and General Contractor in the New Haven area for 45 years. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marcella; children, Carole (Al) Dornte of Angola, H. Larry (Nancy) Bandelier of Fremont, Nancy (Doug) Johnson of Lake Alfred, Fla. and Pierceton, Judy Bandelier of Auburn, Calif., and Diann Bandelier-Behring of Lima, Ohio; siblings, Francis (Joan) Bandelier, Charles (Helen) Bandelier, JoAnn Carmen, Marlene (Gene) Springer, Sandy (Carl) Frecker, and Cara Jane (Norm) Shipley; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Howard Bandelier and Gracella Bauer; and grandson, Scott Dornte. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Father James Seculoff officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola.
