Donald R. "Duke" Blacka, Jr., 61, of Antioch, WV, went to be with his Lord, family and friends on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD.

Born on January 16, 1948 at Antioch, WV, he was a son of the late Donald R. Blacka, Sr. and Mary Ella (Woods) Blacka. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Macil Ella Blacka and two brothers, Jimmy Blacka and Marshall "Bill" Blacka.

Mr. Blacka was employed as truck driver for Rogers Transfer of Keyser for 18 years and then for Shorty Tires for 10 years. He also worked for City Cab in Keyser as a cab and limo driver. He was Methodist by faith and loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed camping and loved to help others.

Surviving are his two former wives, Garnett Blacka of Romney, WV and Macil Davis-Haines of Antioch; five daughters, Peggy Sue Braithwaite and husband Eric of Romney, Melissa Dawn Blacka and friend T.J. of Newburg, WV, Donna Faith Blacka and fiancé, Joe of Dorcas, WV, Mary Charity Bennett and husband Bryan and Maggie Hope Blacka, all of Antioch; one sister, Katie Westfall and husband Glen "Bootie" of Fountain, WV; four brothers, John Blacka and wife Brenda, Glenn "George" Blacka and wife Kitten, Raymond Blacka and wife Susan and Mike Blacka and wife Bobbie Jean, all of Antioch; 10 grandchildren, Kimmie of Antioch, William, Charles Brown and Basil, all of Romney, Shoan, Jr., D.J., Kenny Ray, Tommy, Lee Dewey and Joil, all of Antioch; a large number of nieces and nephews, and many friends who referred to him as "Dad." Also surviving is a special friend, Tom Powell.
