Weaver of Dreams

My father told stories when I was young
and my throne was upon his knee
and the wonderful, wonderful tales that he spun
were his most precious gift to me

He took me on journeys to far away worlds
and gently led me back home
He taught me to cherish the magic of words
and I treasure that now that I'm grown

Now I have princesses
and their throne is on Grandfather's knee
He casts his spell and enchants them
as once he enchanted me

When unborn generations are old
and the princesses silver haired queens
My father will live in his stories retold
Timeless, eternal weaver of dreams
