Betty Haynes, 72, of East Brainerd, TN went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 24, 2011.

A longtime resident of Chattanooga, TN, Mrs. Haynes retired from Blue Cross and was a member of East Chattanooga Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Pressnell; brother, Buddy Pressnell and her husband, James Haynes.

Survivors are her daughters, Bobbie Boulanger, Chattanooga, TN, Judy (Mark) Gooden, Signal Mountain, TN, and Teresa Smith, Red Bank, TN; son, Mitchell (Wendy) Corder, Roanoke, VA; eight grandchildren, Sarah Holland, Hannah Corder, Stephen Boulanger, Letitia Boulanger, Michelle Price, Shannon Bradford, Tim Gooden and Kylie Gooden; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Fred Smith and the Rev. Don Glenn officiating.

Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Wes White, Russ Haynes, Tim Haynes, Ronnie Pressnell, Mike Lee and Eric Crabtree serving as pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the East Chattanooga Church of God, 4924 North Highway 58, Chattanooga, TN 37416.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and Chattanooga Oncology for their love and care during Bettys illness.

The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. Monday and from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN.
