San Antonio Express Thursday Morning December 26, 1935 Boy Crash Victims Rites To Be Held Thursday
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon for Charles L. Bass III, 13, victim of an automobile crash near Columbus Tuesday. Services will be conducted by Rev. Arthur R. McKinstry, St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
Pallbearers will be John M. Newton Jr., Billy Mathison, Rufus Ortega, Leonard Dansby, Jack Bryant, and Davis Ford all of San Antonio and John and Billy Dirks of Tuleta.
Son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles L. Bass Jr. of Tuleta. Charles is survived by his grandparents Mr. & Mrs. H. T. Herndon of San Antonio and Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Bass of Houston and one sister Lorna Delle Bass.
He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and the Children of the American Revolution. He was born at Wichita Falls May 31, 1922.
He died when an automobile in which he was riding overturned rounding a curve.
Mr. and Mrs. Herndon, 203 Woodlief Street are in Medical and Surgical Hospital she with a broken collarbone and he with briuses.

Bass- Charles Longstreet Bass III, age 13, died Tuesday evening Alleyton, Texas. Surviving are Parents Mr and Mrs Chalres L. Bass Jr., sister Lorna Delle Bass; grandparent Mr and Mrs C L Bass Sr. and Mr and Mrs H. T Herndon. Services will be held (Thrusday)afternoon from Porter Loring Chapel at 2 o'clock with Rev. Arthur McKinstry, officiating. Interment ??? ??? in City Cemetery no 4.
