PAYAN, DOLORES 54, passed away August 25, 2001.
She was a life long resident of El Paso and a devout member of the Catholic Church.
Ms. Payan was a 1965 graduate of Loretto Academy and 1970 graduate of UTEP. She had a 30 year distinguished career with the Federal Government with U.S. Customs. She worked as a Paralegal Specialist and was a notary public for the State of Texas.
She was a an avid lover of the arts, a classical pianist; and an avid fan of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra.
She was accompanied by U.S. Customs Service Honor Guard and friends and co-workers served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
She is survived by her brother Mike Payan, cousin Roland H Tovar and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roman M. Payan, Jr. and Maria Luisa Muñoz Payan.
