Age 53, son of the late Albert L. and Dolores J. Gahr Anderson. He was systems vice president at Erie Insurance Group, where he worked for 25 years. He also co-owned Yevet's Let's Skate for 10 years. He attained the rank of lance corporal specialist with the U.S. Marine Corps and was assigned duty as a sharpshooter during the Vietnam War. He coached youth hockey teams in the Erie area for 27 years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Girard. A 21-year volunteer with the Erie Zoo, he helped with its construction projects and parade floats. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, jet-skiing and his pet dog.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Anderson.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Yevet Maier Anderson; a sister, Suzanne Hudson of Erie; two brothers, Stephen Anderson of Conneaut Lake and Paul Anderson of Russell; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Pollock; and many nieces and nephews.
