Stef (Estevan) Martinez – Age 34, born July 2, 1977 departed on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Tony and Amelia Maestas; great-grandparents: Cristobal and Tomasita Martinez; Florentina and Flavio Maestas; Josefina and Edwardo Maestas; Valentin and Edwarda Martinez. She is survived by her mother Flora Maestas and companion Kenneth Romero; father, Estevan Martinez and wife Mayo; sister, Valerie Romero (Fabian); brothers: Jonathan Martinez (Jennifer), Adam Martinez and companion Diamond Rapatz; step-sister, Carmelita Romero; step-brother, Fernando Trujillo; nephews/nieces: Martin and Jordan Gracia, Kaitlyn, Jerome, Fabian and Isaac Romero, Racquee, Ashlyn and Kassidy Martinez and Daniel Gallegos; paternal grandparents, Estevan and Eppie Martinez; very close cousins: Josephine and Sam Gonzales & family, Theresa and Latrelle Jackson & family, Joe Gonzales, Leonard and Felicia Gonzales; aunts/uncles: Antonia Ortega (Joseph), Dolores Gonzales (Joe), Lucy Martinez, Lionel Martinez (Melissa), Victor Martinez (Barbara), Josephina Diaz (Clarence) and Peter Martinez (Mike); great-aunt, Eliza Martinez; best friends: Lawrence Serrano, Franciso Baca, Jose Romero, Brett Stump, David Martinez and Simon Gallegos; other loving relatives & friends. Rosary will be recited on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at Devargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to follow at Alcalde Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Fernando Trujillo, Joe and Leonard Gonzales, Fabian Romero, Theresa Jackson and Josephine Gonzales; honorary pallbearers will be all her nephews/nieces.
