Elizabeth was born to Republic of Texas pioneers Joshua and Elizabeth Seale in Brazos County, Texas. She married Absalom Martin Ball 26 January 1865 in Brazos County, Texas. She was his second wife.

The family moved to Coleman, Texas in the 1880's where Absalom died in 1899. Elizabeth continued to live there until her health began to fail. She died at the home of her daugher, Nancy Ball-Perry in Carroll Colony, McCulloch County, Texas in 1928. She was returned to Coleman and buried beside her husband.

(Note: Son Thomas Martin Ball is not listed with the children below. His place of burial has not yet been located. He was born in Brazos County, Texas on 04 November 1873 and died 05 May 1947 in San Francisco, California.)
