Ruth Cesario

JOHNSONGURG - Ruth Dickey Cesario, 74 of the Duffey Apartments, Water Street Extension, died Thursday evening at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 6, 1917, in Sunbury, a daughter of Orville and Mazie Miller Dickey. She married Louis Jordan, who died in 1960. She later married Matthew Cesario, who died in 1974.
Mrs. Cesario, who had been a resident of Punxsutawney for 11 years, was a member of the Young of Heart Club, the Princess Maria Lodge and the VFW Auxiliary, all of Punxsutawney, and of the United Methodist Church of Johnsonburg and the Johnsonburg Senior Center.
Surviving are one son, Louis Jordan, Jr. of Johnsonburg; four daughters, Louis Bouse and Joyce Jordan, both of Johnsonburg, Florence Harper of Churchill, Tenn., and Ruth Marrone of Warren; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Catherine Shultz of Buffalo NY, Gertrude Tyler of St. Marys and Laura Calla of Johnsonburg; and three brothers, Lester Dickey of Lancaster, NY, Donald Dickey of Buffalo, NY and Joseph Dickey of Johnsonburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Ubel Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 1 pm Sunday with the Rev. R. D. Pete Graham, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery.
