BAILEY, Gene R. 52, of St. Petersburg, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at Bayfront Medical Center. Born here, he moved back to St. Petersburg in 2005, from Rochester, MI. He attended Florida Bible College, Colorado Bible College and the University of Florida. Gene was an active member of Pinellas Community Church serving as a Trustee, member of the choir and active in the Men's Ministry. He enjoyed motorcycling, scuba diving, and was an avid reader. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alexandra and his mother, Jerona. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia; father, Gene (Andrea); brothers, Bruce (Tina), Brian (Betsy), and Blair; sisters, Suzanne (Brad) Murry and Jeannette Bailey; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 19th from 5-7pm at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. M L King St. N., where a funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, Dec. 20th. Burial will follow at Sunnyside. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to Pinellas Community Church Missions Fund to support the ongoing work in Nicaragua and Kenya.
