Sherman Grant Halford, 83, Jacksonville, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000. He was retired from Southwestern Transportation with 27 years of service, and retired from Schroeders Catfish House, a former Boy Scout Leader and member of Hope Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Martha; three sons, Alvin and his wife Leanne, Jacksonville, Milton and his wife Tommie, Maumelle, Carl and his wife Susan, Cordova, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Paige Wolff, Jacksonville, Mark Halford, Palm Bay, Fla., Scott Halford, Youngsville, N.C., Hope Halford, Atlanta; four step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Stella Gardner, Jacksonville, and Bea Simmons, Austin.
Funeral will be Monday, 2 p.m. Westbrook Funeral Home [Beebe, AR] with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens [Beebe, White Co., AR] by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
